A very friendly host who was always helpful. A great choice of restaurants just a short drive away. Comfortable surroundings with the bonus of Chateau life.

The hotel is a lovely old manor house in the countryside close to the not very attractive town of Roanne. It is extremely peaceful and has loads of atmosphere. Olivier runs it charmingly and profesionally.

The only slight blemish was the coffee machine which produces very strong and bitter coffee. But this was only very minor and breakfast itself was fine.

I never stayed in a Chateux before so I took the opportunity at a great price. I had a large room overlooking the rear of the property which was a large grassed area and woodland. There is a small kitchen available to use.

Its on the outskirts of town if you need food.
