Castle Waimea Country Lodge

Our room with kitchenette was spacious and very clean. The motel is conveniently located. The bed was comfortable.

The sound proofing between rooms was less than optimal. We were able to hear a couple talking late into the night.

Got off on the wrong foot when they said there was a $35 early check in fee. We were 20 minutes early. She ended up letting us in though. The room was very nice and quite large but the floor was dirty. TV was frustrating. We usually sit outside most of the time but nights were chilly. Town was a disappointment. We expected kind of quaint but its not at all. But grocery store was good and easy to walk to. I thought our room had a stove top but it didn’t. Kitchen was a little sparsely furnished. No hair dryer. Overall it was a nice place but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Lodge is a very generous term to use when you’re really a motel 6.

Super nice staff with clean accommodations. Walls were paper, thin and we were up much of the night because the people next-door were up late talking. However, we appreciated the flexibility of being moved the next day.

The staff was inviting & welcoming.

Not all rooms have a microwave.

I enjoyed the stay. The room was very nice and the beds were super comfortable. Four people stayed in our room and had plenty of space. The room itself was beautiful, and the mountain view from our window was even better.
