We stayed for a weekend with family and friends, and the location was spot on - walking distance to cafés and downtown spots, exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were clean, furniture was decent, and the pillows were actually very comfortable. We also received a complimentary upgrade with a river view - not exactly breathtaking in February, but still a nice touch from the staff. The highlight, surprisingly, was not the breakfast itself, but the setting. The breakfast is quite standard by Canadian standards - even a bit limited (no bacon or sausages, just some unusual ones, although they tasted fine, and only one muffin for dessert). But the view from the dining area overlooking downtown streets was genuinely great and made the whole experience feel much better.

The breakfast selection could definitely be improved, as it felt quite basic and limited. Also, the sauna and hot tub were open, but there was no information about it anywhere - if I had known, I would have brought what I needed to use them.

The staff were very welcoming and check-in was easy and pleasant. The place was quiet and we had a restful sleep as the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast had lots of choice for anyone; we really enjoyed it. Coffee was great! Walking distance to nice restaurants and pubs.

All was well.

Les chambres côté vue ville oubliait de mentionné que les chambres côté vue ville sont directement au-dessus de la rue principale, ce qui veut dire qu'on entend les bruits de la rue mais vraiment toute la nuit et on les entends trop bien. Le déjeuner est correct.

Wasn't impressed with breakfast. I got there a half-hour before it was over and there wasn't much left, and what was there was cold, i.e. eggs, hasbrowns. There were no muffins or cinnamon rolls or any breakfast pastries. Disappointed
