"COSTLY!!!"

Convenient off the highway.

I used booking.com to reserve and it was not made clear that I was not booking a pet friendly room even when the Motel says “pet friendly” as that is what I searched for on booking.com. I was not asked when I checked in if I had a pet. I was not trying to hide that I had 2 dogs with me. The room cost me $100 for the one night and the owners charged me another $100 for sleeping in a room that they don’t allow pets in. Apparently they need the $100 to clean the carpet… Which is a great idea because our feet were filthy from just walking on the carpet for a few minutes.

The owners treat you like new friends. Smores by the fire and fresh cinnamon rolls in the morning. Everything was great! Don't pass this gem of a place up.

Incredibly clean with exceptional hosts! The motel itself is older and shows its age, but the couple who runs it works very hard to make sure you have a wonderful stay. They make homemade cinnamon rolls for guests for breakfasts, host bonfires with s’mores in the evenings when the weather is nice, and they had sweet little fox keychains for our kids as gifts. They’ve owned the motel less than a year and are working on updates. We will be glad to stay again next year on our trip through the mountains.

Loved the little quaint motel. So much better than the bigger hotels. Recently remodeled and very clean. Very friendly staff. Will stay again if in the area.

"Perfect for what we needed."

This was the perfect place for us on our trip down to OBX. We wanted a place around the half way point of our trip. We stayed going down and coming back. Very nice place and would recommend it for anyone needing a nice place to spend the night. Also, the restaurant attached was a nice addition and it was unlike any Mexican restaurant we have been to. The food is made to order and you have time to sit and enjoy your chips and salsa. Jim and Michelle were very friendly and helpful. We will be adding this place to our yearly trip down to N. Carolina.

All great! Comfortable and clean, this quaint little motel was awesome. Very pet friendly, too. A small Mexican restaurant right next door. Great experience!
