Hotel is looking a little dated, but rooms were clean and comfortable. Excellent value for your money. First evening was some noisey (due to some kids hockey teams being there for a tournament). Wally's Restaurant was great. All staff were outstanding.

The following is the review of our stay at your hotel April 3rd and 4th, 2026 as per survey request. We arrived shortly after 2pm and were greeted at check in by Christine who was lovely and we give her an excellent rating on her abilities and help during our first night stay. Upon arrival to the room the hand wash was empty. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 toddlers. The heat rad end cover next the tub was rusted and bent outwards causing a safety hazard to clients, whereas one could easily cut themselves. Not enough towels or facecloths so a call to the front desk. The bathroom walls and other areas of the room were disgustingly dirty along with the floors as after a couple hours the toddlers socks and slippers were filthy, as all outdoor footwear was removed upon entering the room. We proceeded to enjoy the pool whereas it was cold and after a very short time had to remove the toddlers due to being so cold they were actually turning purple with teeth chattering. I informed the front desk and she was having maintenance check it out, the next day of our stay no change in pool temperature and the big reason we had booked at your hotel as the children love the water . As the evening progressed we had to contact the front desk on four occasions, firstly a group of the maritime girls hockey approximately 25-30 were in the courtyard supposedly playing games whereas the girls were screaming so loading the toddlers were upset assuming someone was hurt, the second was a group of children approximately 12 running and screaming in and around the tables in the courtyard, the noise continued with a group of adults sitting in the corner of the courtyard drinking laughing and being loud and this continued. Until 1am, when security removed them they returned to their rooms down the way from us and turned their music as loud as possible, clearly the first day was a night from hell. We spoke to the front desk to try and have us moved the following day so we may have some peace and quiet and possibly a cleaner room, and to note we wished to speak to the manager. The front desk clerk found an opening in a loft on the third floor whereas it was tight as we required two cots to fully accommodate sleeping arrangements. Prior to the move a young lady approached us at our first room, coffee in hand quite rushed as must have just arrived to work, took off her coat (around noon) failed to introduce herself, her opening line was we had requested to speak to her and wanted to know what had happened. She wasn’t the least empathetic or apologetic merely questioning that it made us feel our complaints were not worthy. She repeatedly informed us to move as quickly as possible so housekeeping could clean the room as she was sure to be seeking it for Saturday evening. We were waiting on the front desk to inform us the room was ready for us to move as we were packed and ready a couple hours prior to this ladies arrival. Clearly is not the gal for frontline position to deal with unhappy clients. With all the goings on in the courtyard and hotel on this particular weekend it was evident family rooms were not the place for families. Upon checkout for all the disruptions during our first night, the pool, etc. we received a $50 discount, which I feel is clearly an insult and in no way a sign of respect for us as clients. We will not be returning to your hotel and will be sure to complete all reviews on Yelp, Trip Advisor, Facebook and any others Rodd Hotels are affiliated with.

I requested an early check in, wasn’t sure if it was going to be possible. Was only able to check in an hour early. The tv system was not great, none of the channels we wanted to watch were available. The toom we were put in was subject to a lot of noise. There was belongings from previous guests left behind in our room.

The facilities were very clean and the staff was very friendly . Breakfast also had lots of options and variety .

The pool was overcrowded and there didnt seem to be anyone watching the lineups at the slide. Sometimes 4 or 5 people went at once and people.got hurt.

Our room was spacious, clean and conviently close to all the amenities in the building. Breakfast had a great selection and was hot.

There was a bit of noise pollution from other guests. Around bedtime. But it subsided quickly.
