The Rushmore Hotel & Suites; BW Premier Collection

Close to many restaurants and even a movie theater.

Would have liked a refrigerator and microwave for leftovers and drinks.

Love the location directly downtown. Cool older hotel. Could be updated in the hallways, etc.

We were so excited to be able to see Mt Rushmore on our trip cross country. We chose this hotel because we are BW Rewards members and appreciated that this was a “premier” property. The photos on the website portrayed the hotel as spacious and up-to-par. Positive feedback: Robyn and Austin in the 445 Lounge & Grill were wonderful and very friendly. Our food was great, as well. The bespoke tile artwork in the lobby was outstanding. The evening desk clerk was also helpful in addressing billing issues with us. Other feedback: The property, built in the 70’s, is run down with many signs of deferred maintenance. Examples we noticed included a crack in our bathroom sink, dirty windows, scuffed surfaces and furniture that was in poor shape. The elevators rattled. Our room door was poorly sealed, however this was promptly remedied by the engineering department, which we appreciated very much! Breakfast was not included with our stay, but was available on site for an additional charge. Finally, the property did not appear to fully embrace ADA compliance.

Great location, nice rooms and plenty of parking. This hotel is close to Mount Rushmore, and the staff are polite, friendly and very helpful.

Central downtown location

Bed bugs - Room 816. Unfortunately, we didnt report it (were unsure what was biting us) until enduring 3 nights of attacks and 60+ bites between the 2 of us). Asked for a room change and was comp'd 1 night (really thought it should've been more). Wont be returning here any time soon.
