Die zentrale Lage und das ruhige Zimmer. Service und Sauberkeit sehr gut.

Leider hat beim Frühstück ein Hund auf dem Stuhl gesessen / gelegen. Da es Menschen gibt, die eine Tierallergie haben, kann das unangenehme Nebenerscheinungen geben, wenn sich jemand auf diesen Stuhl setzt. Schade

Das Hotel ist ein Architekturdenkmal. Überraschend gut in Stand gehalten. Für Personen, die in den neunziger Jahren schon dort geschäftlich unterwegs waren, ein Ort der Nostalgie. Überraschend gut erhaltene Möblierung im Stil der achtziger Jahre. Viel Stauraum in den Zimmern. Und sogar noch Badewannen. Wunderbar.

Der für Hotelgäste angebotene "Kiosk" wirkt etwas deprimierend. Insbesondere, da die Snacks zum Teil schon das Ablaufdatum überschritten hatten.

We arrived Koeln late due to 2.5 hours train delay. Well, the lady who did the check-in did not appear to be friendly. After we had entered the room, we found the window open; and thus we expected to have better air-cond after some time. But it was not true and I could hardly sleep in the heat wave (but we did not expect help in the midnight). In the next morning, we asked the reception to change room, and luckily we met Mrs A. Yurchenko, who later on checked our room together. After some discussion, she managed to arrange us to another room (not facing the west). Afterwards, we also asked her for more tourist info, and she is very helpful.

the air-conditioning system is not catered for the heat wave. The hotel should have known which rooms are not suitable for guests, and we do believe that the air-cond in our 1st room was out of order - the hotel did send some technicians to check in the next morning. The breakfast room and collection look great but the hot food is not kept warm enough eg the scrambled egg.
