Wayfarers Cottage

The location was great, the cottage was clean and well equipped, and the host was friendly and helpful.

Very central location, within walking distance of the main street, a shopping centre, the wharf and most attractions of Goolwa. Excellent base for walking to the beach and along the river. Near a busy intersection, but very quiet inside. An old stone cottage, it kept cool in some very hot weather, aided by a very efficient air conditioner. Lovely indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and very private.

Hard to fault. It met all of our needs. Parking is off street, but I would like to have had the car undercover. (Small complaint though).

Third visit, comfortable modernised ambient cottage, great home away from home with everything we needed. Love the different living areas inside and out which make it great to hang out, whatever the weather and easy to find solitude or shared spaces. Great appliances, ease of instructions and welcome folder covered everythjng. Super pet friendly. With complimentary welcome wine for two leggeds.

While the bathroom is well stocked with linens, toiletries and everything you think you need or didnt realise you need - the almost flat pitch to the drain means a damp floor and forever trying to dry soggy bathmat. The exhaust fan, heating and lighting options, sliding window and deep bath are well appointed in what could have been a small space. Great cottage garden and outside area, roses near driveway bit overgrown so we both got snagged. We knew from lady time to lift dig food up to avoid ants.

The cottage was nice and clean with modern facilities. there is a secure back yard for even the smallest dogs. The location was good especially for the train station.

I personally found the queen bed mattress too hard which disturbed my sleep.
