La Casa di Vale

Location was excellent. The apartment was cosy and comfortable. it was lovely to buy cornetti and pastries locally for breakfast and bring them back to eat at the apartment with the door open so we could people watch!

We could have done with more cutlery.....only 2 knives and 3 forks so we could not invite family back to eat. A couple of bowls would also have been useful. only 1 wine glass! It did not spoil our stay , just giving pointers for making the property even better!

Authentic stay in a typical Martina Franca home. in a quiet residential area, open plan space with small kitchen (with all you need for a short stay) and small bathroom, large TV, king size bed (6 feet), fantastic hairdryer for long hair. Good communication from owner who met us at the property for early checkin, free parking on the street half a minute walk from the property, right on the edge and inside the old town which makes it easy with a car as you do not need to enter the ZTL, ground floor. Stayed 2 nights and did day trips to Alberobello and Locorotondo, it would have been nice to stay an extra night as Martina Franca is beautiful for strolling, taking photos, walking in the evening and enjoying lazy lunches/dinners. Very happy, highly recommend and a lovely host.

Location is great. Very close to historic centre; 10 minutes walking from train station and between 6 and 10 from bus stations where buses/trains to nearby villages pass (e.g. alberobello, locorotondo, ceglie messapica, polignano al mare etc). The host facilitated an early check out. Overall a good experience.

The bathroom and kitchen are a bit small. The house isn't very luminous (however it is a condition of those historic houses with narrow streets, we can't have it all). It has a small window from where light comes in in the morning (althought not much) so people with trouble sleeping with light should bring one of those eye covers.

Clean and spacious room. Great location, easy to reach the city center, many cafes and restaurants are located around the property.

There was a kitchen in the room, however, the pans were quite old and the stove wasn't functioning so it was not possible to cook. Also, we had breakfast included and we were provided with a 5eur voucher from the owner so we could get our breakfast in the cafe that is mentioned in the voucher. However, for 5eur you can get only coffee and croissant, for everything above 5eur we had to pay ourselves. We stayed for 2 nights and had to leave around 8am to get on a train, the cafe was still closed at 8am, so we left without breakfast.
