Riggend farm bed and breakfast

We had a warm welcome from Natalie.

Didn't ... The drive way was extremely uneven and unlit (as we were surposing arriving on our motorcycle it would be dangerous, fortunately we came in the car.) Bed sheets had hair on. No under protective bedding. Dust and chewing gum stuck to the headboard. A sock was found at the side of the bed. The roller blinds were grubby and fraying. The bathroom.... The shower head was mouldy and hung up with a cable tie, The tray had hair and fluff in it. Also, it looked as if the basin of the toilet hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. A glass panelled door to our room offered little privacy. The kitchen... It was a community kitchen where everyone helped themselves. (Microwave, kettle, which was to be filled from your room and toaster, cups, bowls plates and cutlery). Cereal (one was out of date) tea, coffee and sugar in canisters. Bread and packet individual croissants. The fridge had milk, margarine and orange juice. With jam and marmalade jars left out. There was no way to clean up as there was no sink.

Arrived just after 10pm but was still able to check in. Much appreciated

Sat nav was not great and missed front a couple of times in the dark. Had to then find my way to the back. Allow a bit of time to find it if you are arriving in the dark, but still very good overall

Fantastic owner. Natalie and her mum are lovely. lTge accommodation is very reasonably priced easy to access. Would highly recommend.

Convenient location to break a trip, OK for the money, friendly host including super friendly dogs 🐕 and nice animals 😀

Although it felt like care had gone into creating the place, it wasn't maintained well, cleaning was adequate but not great .. eg shower didn't look v. clean, the soap in soap dispenser was either empty or impossible to use, the hand cream looked like it had been there for months (better not to bother); most important thing was the door to the bathroom was hanging off and came off in my hands which could have locked one of us in .. and it looked like it had been that way for a while.
