Polite staff and good value for money

Very thin walls and noisy, squeaky beds. I could hear the person next door who kept waking up at 5am so it affected my sleep too. The sink didnt look clean with leftovers from someone’s shaving. The cold / hot water was not easy to adjust (it was either too hot or cold). No one cleaned the room or emptied the bin for the entire duration.

Setting.

No cooked breakfast! But plenty of tea coffee and other breakfast food available. Damaged shower( cable tie to secure shower head). Dirty shower hose and sink tap. Build up of dust on extractor fan in the en-suite.

My trip to Scotland wouldn't have been as impressive, wouldn't have been as memorable without the experience of Riggend Farm bed and breakfast. My commute to Airdrie was one of note and unexpected challenge. The coach from London to Glasgow, the Uber experience from Glasgow to Airdrie followed by the need to navigate myself from Stirling Road to Riggend Farm. Little was straightforward or smooth but the feeling upon arriving to meet Natalie and co was such a feeling of homeliness. Her genuine nature to care for and be of loving support and service almost made me forget about my ordeal prior to arriving. I immediately felt comfortable, relaxed and settled. Between Friday and Sunday I was made to feel very welcome. I wasn't accurately aware of the distance between Airdrie and Glasgow. Judging by Google Maps from a driver's perspective it was nothing out of the ordinary, however I wasn't driving so the distances were much greater than I had imagined! Eek. Through the kindnesses of Natalie and Felix I was able to get to the train station which helped not only with travel but cost! I could go to town and share more but I believe this will suffice in acknowledging my Riggend Farm experience was 5 stars! Thank you again Natalie and Felix for how warmly you received me!
