amazing location and Barbara was fantastic!

We thought the breakfast was extremely overpriced for what was offered. it was good but it consisted of cold meats, cheeses, breads, cereal and fruit, all items that are typically part of a free continental breakfast at other restaurants. For $16 franks there should have been at least hot eggs and meats, at a minimum.

Welcoming, clean accomodations with an excellent warm and homey vibe.

Bathroom fan was a bit loud and not very effective.

Excellent hosts and staff that were so very helpful. Our room overlooked the mountains…it can’t get any better than that! We appreciated the porch to sit and enjoy the scenery and talk with other guests. Easy access to the tram.

Loved the place,highly recommended,need to know you will need to cook your own meals,fully functioning kitchen,otherwise you can eat out at local hotel,within the village.the co-op have big presence in area for grocery supplies,with biggest store in interlarken ost,and smaller presence in Murren,and lauterbrunnen

A great place to stay - right off the lift

Gimmelwald is a lovely little village, no cars, no stores. Esthers Guesthouse is perfect: wonderful staff, friendly guests. Bring your own food or buy at the Coop in Muerren (one stop further up the mountain) and cook it in the fully equipped guest kitchen--or get the excellent breakfast.
