Holiday Inn Express & Suites VA Beach Oceanfront by IHG

Great view of ocean from room as well as lobby; open feeling, some hotels have horrid lobbies with no ocean view. Security made their presence, making a safer feel. The rooms had coffee maker and fridge, ample towels, and toilet paper. Parking lot had ample spaces and easy mobility in lot.

The staff are very polite.

THERE IS NOT ONSITE PARKING! THERE ARE ABOUT 40 PARKING SPOTS AT THE HOTEL. THEY FILL UP FAST SO I HAD TO PARK AT OTHER LOTS THEN WALK TO THE HOTEL.

It was convenient to restaurants and all other planned activities.

We arrived an hour and thirty minutes after our check-in due to traffic, and our room was still not ready. When we finally got in the room we found a TICK on the bed!!We informed the front desk and nothing was done. They didn’t even offer another room. So, we were all uncomfortable for an entire week. Parking was terrible! Not enough spaces to accommodate all of their guests. Guests literally had to stand outside and wait for spots to open. The first night, the manager had to move his vehicle, so I could get the smallest spot there was. I managed to get into the spot, but had to climb over and get out on the passenger side!! Because of this we could not schedule late activities that involved driving! Nonetheless, my family and I made do with what we had and got through the week with some great laughs and fun memories. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.

Breakfast was good, rooms were cozy.

The pool didn’t look like the photos on the website, it was much smaller in person, and the water was cloudy.
