Host & Stay - Foxglove Cottage

Unique accommodation with high quality furnishings, well equipped with nice little extras like books, washing up liquid and a bin bag. Comfortable, cosy and charming. Would definitely recommend

Bathroom was a bit small (a decent shower however) and nowhere to store clothes.

The cottage was absolutely gorgeous. Very clean and well designed with the little sofa just big enough for two people as well as the armchair. The bed was really comfy and the property felt very homely. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with items and instructions for all devices were clear and in depth. The smart TV was great to use and the location was very quiet but the pub, shop and cafe were no more than a 2 minute walk with electric car chargers and a regatta store too! I will definitely be visiting again!

Very close to Chatsworth House and within easy distance to Bakewell and some good walking. Clean and modern.

The house is a little bit too small to be cooped up in during inclement weather and the mezzanine virtually unusable due to the ladder like stairs to reach it and the low roof.

The cottage was absolutely charming. Very cosy and comfortable. We loved lighting the log fire in the evening and the bed was so comfortable. We loved it.

The host was very accommodating and very quick to reply to any queries no matter how small. Location was perfect with the local pub about a 1 minute walk away and the local shop and another pub 5 minutes. Perfect walks are from the doorstep. Perfect location, accomodation, facilities and host. Couldn't ask for more.

Nothing, everything was just what you would want and ask for.

I loved this little house. So quirky, well decorated and every little detail thought of. I particularly liked the window seat to drink my morning coffee overlooking the village and the wood burning stove in the chilly evenings. Everything from kitchen equipment to bedding was of high standard. It was clear a lot of thought had gone into the decorating and design. Oh and let's not forget the pub 2 minutes away, perfect Sunday dinner. I would highly recommend it.

It was pretty perfect. But if I'm being picky I would have loved a small sofa to get a little more comfortable on rather than chairs.

The parking facilities were not as described. On the first nine of our stay there was nowhere near to park at all

Lovely little property which was very clean and tidy

It was quiet an awkward place to stay in, a sofa would of been nice to sit together on, the shower is nice but very awkward to wash in due to there being no where to place shower gel, shampoo etc, we both banged our leg/foot on the bed because how tight it was to get around it and go to the toilet. There was no storage for our clothes so we had to live out of suitcases for our stay. It's a great property and these aren't really complaints but feedback on little tweaks for future guests.

The property was very quaint and good use had been made of the space available. Very well equipped and comfortable.

In the winter the property could possibly be difficult to access given the steep slope up to the back door. Parking was on the street but the details implied that there was parking at the property.
