Rokeby Manor

A beautiful restored and converted cottage and farm buildings. A very nice room.

Wifi poor to nonexistent, complained and was told it was working, but it never really did, room, reception nor dining room. Evening meal was very tasty and well prepared but way overpriced, possibly by a third. A two course meal with one drink over £100 is just not affordable, this isn't fine dining. I appreciate the safety aspect of smoke detection in rooms, but must they have an operating light that illuminates the room at night?

The staff were brilliant. My flight was delayed which meant I didn’t arrive until after midnight, but the manager was there to greet and sort

I thought the staff in the evening for the meal were very pleasant and enjoyed the meal . The room was ok .

The staff on reception could have been more accommodating. The staff at breakfast were surly and a bit scary.
