Valley Inn San Jose

Just the basics. Rooms were clean. Quiet considering right off major street.

The hotel was okay but we did not have hot water early in the morning when we needed to shower.

Bed was comfortable! Phone didn't work. Cramped, no Kleenex, no chair,

It wasn’t that great as in to comfort and hospitality. Kind of dirty too

I was meet with a positive front counter and welcomed to the complex - thanks. The owners / operators attempted to cater for the needs of a person who was foreign to the district - bus times, shopping venues, etc; The room was well laid-out with king bed, good shower and wash facilities, and a/c functioning well. What i believe is needed to make the room / stay more convenient is: , tea, coffee, cups and spoons for tea making, kettle over microwave (or both), extra large towels, etc - more like home. Overall great location (next to bus stop on both sides to CBD) and walking distance to shops and fuel, etc. Will stay there again and thanks to the owners for their generous assistance.

Room condition was terrible, shower stall was unusable, see picture. Asked for different room and they offered a slightly different one which wasn't any better except the bath tub wasn't chipped and peeling. They have crews of contractors working and maybe it'll get better but I don't think by much. All this going on and they still charge full rate as if renovations are complete. My advice; find another motel, these owners don't know what they're doing

Would have liked beforehand renovations were taken place as you could smell the glue that was used in the apartment: perhaps an air freshener would have helped

The room smells and we had to buy air fresh to get rid of the oder. The room was not cleaned on the second day of our stay, it had been forgotten as we were told. Not much to appreciate for this stay.

Small, cramped, old room, no closet, no iron. Reasonably clean and bed didn’t sag, so that was positive.
