Hotel Moon & Sun Porto

The staff was friendly and amazing offering us advice on where to dine etc. Magda and the John (not sure how to write his name) were exceptional!!

As a Travel agent traveling with 3 other clients I had requested twin beds month before trip. I was not happy when I had to share a bed with my client. My other two clients were also given a room to share bed but they did manage to find a twin room for them. We had previously stayed at Moon & Sun in Lisbon and really liked there set up for breakfast much better. We did go to breakfast one day and it was so crowded we had to wait for a table. By that time, coffee empty and we had to ask for things that were empty on the buffet. Did not think it was worth the charge.

Centrally located near to bars and restaurants and close to a metro station. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the breakfast was great too. The towels were a decent size and the room had a kettle and a coffee maker. There was a lift to the upper floors and there was a rooftop bar where we enjoyed some great live music on 2 occasions during our stay. We did have a issue with the speakers in the room making odd noises but that was quickly sorted.

The room was quite small as was the en-suite but it did have a great, big shower! Our room was street -facing but it was a quiet street except on the Friday night! We weren't able to open the windows as there was two sets of windows but the air-conditioning worked well. There was limited hanging space with few hangers, however they did bring us more hangers on request. The biggest problem was the fact that there were no drawers or shelves to put other clothes into so a lot had to stay in the suitcase! I also didn't like the fact that we had to put any drinks/snacks that we had on the room table, however, it was 100% correct on check-out.

Modern, friendly hotel in a great area…kettle in the room and breakfast are open for snacks in the afternoon . Comfy beds and serviced rooms - superb. The welcome drink is very welcome !

Minimal in-house snacks menu - was only an issue for us as we were quite unwell and needed to rely on the hotel menu

Eigentlich nichts.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein. In einem schmalen Schrank stand eine Kaffeemaschine und man konnte keine Kleider aufhängen, weil sonst Ärmel und Jeans in die Kaffeemaschine und Teebeutel, Tassen etc. hineingehangen wären! Kleiderhaken im Raum und eine Ablage fehlten. Das Hotel liegt sehr nah an Ausgehlokalen. Der Lärmpegel bis nach Mitternacht ist hoch. Das Personal an der Reception war teils unfreundlich und arrogant.
