Clean, cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities very clean. Could not wish for more. Strongly recommend !

I was really happy I ended up booking Golden hostel. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. Even I was arriving quite late in the evening, later than the actual reception hours, it was easy to arrange a later time for check-in via email. Reception person was really welcoming and helpful - he even offered to give me a ride to closest 24h restaurant as there was none open in the walking distance as I arrived so late. What i really liked the place was the attention to details. Everything was clean and nice - not luxurious, but it was clear to me that cleaning and all important aspects were taken seriously in this place. I liked many details about my room as well. The windows were to the quiet inner court and the windows had also good soundproofing, so I was never bothered by the sounds coming outdoors. I think the closest highways just caused some distance humming sounds, but thanks to soundproofed windows, the humming was more like a pleasent and calming than bothering. And what was almost excepionally great, was that there was also sunblocking curtains that you could pull over to windows to block most of the light coming indoors. Soundproofing between the rooms were not that great, but the overrall ambience in the place was quiet and people were respectful to others and did not cause any problems during night and thus it did not bother at all in the end. The shared bathtrooms were very clean and always available when I happened to need them. I really liked this place because it made me feel that the people running this place really cared about their customers by having the most important things right in this place. Also, the area is quite interesting in a sense that it is a classic Stockholm immigrant suburb but felt really safe and peaceful to me. Connections to stockholm city center were superb though, and the train station was less than 5minutes walk from the hostel and it took only like 20 minutes to be in the center so not that bad either.

The hosts are wonderful and helpful people. The room I got was good size(for a single person), clean, matching the descriptions as seen on the pictures, with a comfortable bed. The room could be good enough for a couple as well. The shared bathrooms and other shared areas are also tidy and kept clean. This place influences you in subtle unspoken ways to stay clean, tidy and healthy in your life too. The place(Golden Hostel) is located at a 5 mins walk to a nearby bus station(Jakobsberg) with easy access to important bus routes, and adjacent to the bus station is the Jakobsberg stop for the city train, making the commute to other parts of Stockholm very easy. Around the Golden Hostel, is the Jakobsberg Centrum, a 2 mins walk, where you can easily find nearby markets for your daily cooking and other essentials. I stayed at the Golden Hostel for 17 days, had no problems, making my stay here peaceful and quite comfortable.

Everything was nice at the Golden Hostel, and I had no issues in my stay, but on travel as a student to Sweden, I would have liked the rent to be a little lower for a longer booking period.

Wonderful hosts. Clean rooms. Warm atmosphere. I stayed there for two nights (as I prefer apartments and houses for my stays), and it was a last minute booking. Very glad I found them. Truly a gem of people. Enjoyed their company even more than the stay itself. There is also a shared kitchenette area with the stove, tea and coffee corner and microwave. There is a refrigerator in the room. Everything is secure and no outsiders are allowed in.

Finding an entrance was a bit tricky as it is in the middle of the big center. If you have a lots of bags talk to the host in advance - he will advise about the easiest access. Be advised that some rooms (that look into the center) have windows that do not open. So if this is an issue for you (as it was for me for longer than 2 days stay) ask the host in advance which rooms to book.

The manager makes the difference. While he is fluent in Swedish he is working hard to improve his English language skills and does succeed. Very friendly and caring during booking and also on site. The accomodation is very clean and looked after, so ideal if you need a spot for overbight stay. It is also conveniently located to the station, from which it takes only 20 minutes in Stockholm City. All in all a clear recommendation. Guests should be aware that it showers and toilets are shared with the other guests. These are claean and also well equipped.

Logistically the hostel is well located and the good introduction by the owner is of great help. However the surrounding heighbourhood "falls asleep" as of 20.00 h, but as mentioned Stockholm City is not far away.
