The Cross at Croscombe

My wife and I stayed here for the long Easter weekend with our 6 year old son. We absolutely loved it. The place is situated in a picture perfect village with a lovely local pub and lots to see and do in the surrounding areas. The host was wonderful - couldn't have been more welcoming. The cooked breakfast was 10/10 too. I highly recommend this place for a nice weekend getaway.

Such a pleasure to find this delightful B&B. Terri was so welcoming and provided much needed tea and scones on arrival. The room was large and very comfortable, with everything we needed. Lovely large fluffy towels in the bathroom. Breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and freshly cooked to order. We will definitely be going back.

We were recommended this B&B by someone who’d previously stayed here and were not disappointed. Had a really enjoyable stay. Room was spacious and extremely clean. Breakfast was more than ample and included fresh fruit and a full English. Location was great for us, with Wells and Shepton Mallet both just a few miles away. We found Terri, the owner, really accommodating to our needs and we would not hesitate to stay again.

What a beautiful place The Cross at Croscombe is. A haven of comfort, warmth and kindness in one of the most picturesque villages I have ever stayed in. Terri is a wonderful host - nothing is too much trouble for her. She manages a perfect mix of friendliness and professionalism to provide a stay worth writing home about. Great breakfasts, amazing sausages! Thanks Terri and see you again soon I hope.

Terri the host was very warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated and breakfast was absolutely delicious. Would definitely love to come back.

We received a wonderfully warm welcome with delicious lemon drizzle cake and tea. Terri was away on holiday but her friends could not have been any more helpful showing us around and booking the local pub for our dinner. Excellent service as we arrived and a delicious breakfast freshly prepared for us this morning. Our only minor complaint was that we found the pillows too firm but that’s personal taste. The road is a little noisy at the front, no problem at the side or back I imagine, so if it’s an issue for you, I’d ask for a back room.

fantastic and historic property - great local pub andf a short drive into Wells or many local trips such as Longleat, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey hole caves. Great restaurants in Wells which is a 5 minute drive. Breakfast was great and offered tea and scones on arrival which was a lovely touch in the courtyard. 'Chew' room was perfect for a family of 4. highly recommend
