The property was in the perfect location - right in the heart of the old town. You get the whole private apartment to yourselves - a big bedroom with a view of the castle, living room and bathroom. Paolo was a wonderful host - he sent us so much information, found us parking for the week, gave us lists of things to do while we were there, recommended excellent restaurants, found us boat trips and even drove a 2 hour round trip when we managed to lock ourselves out! There are restaurants, coffee shops, excellent shopping and even a supermarket all 2 seconds from the door.

If you’re looking to rent a car during your stay, as the apartment is in the old town you can’t park there due to restrictions - there is parking for €15 a day a 20 minute walk away which is actually a lovely walk each morning along the sea front!

A great stay! A nice apartment all to ourselves, in a great central location. Paolo and his wife were lovely hosts! Very friendly, helpful and accommodating, and gave lots of great recommendations for food and sight seeing.

Excellent accommodation for the price. Beautifully refurbished and spacious, with an excellent shower. Very clean. Tucked away from main roads, the accommodation is very quiet. There is aircon and a small fridge in the comfortable bedroom. Quirky artwork adds a personal touch. Paolo is a very welcoming host and provided information on things to do, places to visit and good restaurants. La Spagnola was an outstanding fish restaurant of high quality. Location is excellent in the historic centre with plenty of restaurants nearby. Also an easy train ride to Paestum and short bus or ferry to nearby Vietri sul Mare, a lovely village with its history of ceramics. Ferry also goes further afield è.g. to Maiori and Amalfi.

Need to check in advance if the other bedroom will be occupied as that would presumably mean sharing the separate living space and bathroom area. Other than that, nothing to dislike!

Paolo was an amazing host, he was very accommodating and gave us some great recommendations for things to do/places to eat in Salerno. The property was very clean, with great facilities and an awesome location right in town & close to the beach.
