Charmed on Liberty

This apartment was very close to the DeSoto for a conference I attended. It was also close to nice places for dining and to attractions in the historic district. It was clean, charming and very comfortable. The hosts/managers checked in with me when we arrived to make sure everything was okay, which I appreciated, and communication was very good.

Because it’s an old building the stair treads are both narrow and slant downward. The apartment is on the top floor, and besides needing to be in good enough physical condition to climb the flights with heavy luggage, one needs to have pretty decent balance as well. It was fine for me once I figured out why it felt like I could topple over backwards. It might be a little perilous for the less agile.

Savannah was ok but we left after one night

The apartment was not how it was advertised, walls under repair, no dishwasher as stated, bedroom was next to a busy noisy road, we paid for five nights, but left after just one night

Location was EXCELLENT

The apartment was on a Main Street with lots of noisy truck traffic mostly during the day but intermittently at night. Mattress was hard and would benefit from a 3 inch memory foam topper. Pillows on main bed need to be replaced. Maybe I missed it on information provided prior to booking, but the pool is on Tybee Island and not attached to building.

We loved the location on Liberty - equidistant from the hubbub of the riverfront area and the elegant Forsyth Park, with the gorgeous basilica right around the corner, and plenty of shops, restaurants, and coffee shops in the neighborhood. This location is on a charming street surrounded by beautiful homes. Having a balcony overlooking the lovely courtyard was the icing on the cake!

The entry door of the building was dirty and rundown looking, and the corridor was gloomy, but once you get in the apartment all is bright and clean! Also note there's no elevator and the apartment is on the 3rd floor, which may be an issue for some, but we appreciated the extra steps! :)

Location is so convenient and the property is so lovely to stay in. The hosts are very friendly and responsive before, during, and after our stay. In general, we think it's such a gem in Savannah that you can't miss.
