"Solar So-So"

It is an historic home, with an elegant interior. The location is optimal for exploring the village. The breakfast was pretty good.

I felt the reception of the property cold. Did not feel welcome at the property at all. Communication is poor after sending 2 messages without response. Also in 2024 you contact a taxi driver for the guest. Not the other way around.

"A comfortable, welcoming hotel in the heart of a lovely and compact hilltop village."

An eclectic, comfortable property in the dead center of Trancoso, with the entire village within a few minute’s stroll. Ricardo, the manager, kindly received me a bit late in the evening, and made sure I had everything I needed for my one-night stay.

While the included breakfast was appreciated, I was the only one in the dining room for most of the time, and so it was a slightly awkward mood. This isn’t a reflection on the hotel - after all, it was mid-week after the end of the high season - but I probably should have ventured out to one of the village cafés for a livelier experience.

"Romantic and authentic small hotel."

Loved the surroundings, in the middle of a very old city. It was romantic, with great breakfast and nice room with view over a cute square. The pool was cold but a nice end of the day!

It was a little pricey. For the rest, no issues whatsoever.
