Grealeen Cottages

What a beautiful and restful place with very friendly hosts! With a scooter you are at the beach within 5 minutes! In the meantime you are in the midst of nature, junglewise. Awesome! Thank you for the welcoming and very kind atmosphere and the beautiful breakfast!!

The smell of humidity and mold is quite strong in the rooms. But we started to understand that we probably had to accept it as a part of the climat of Bali/Nusa Penida. I guess it is not the easiest thing to keep houses dry and fresh.

Exceptional. Such a beautiful and comfortable place to stay in Nusa Penida. The grounds are beautiful, and you enjoy your breakfast on the terrace with an ocean view. You can walk across the road to enjoy yoga or a meal at Deep Roots, and rent motorbikes on the premises to explore the rest of the island. Don't hesitate to stay here!

Our stay at Grealeen Cottage has been great. Even though we've been really annoying guests, Adana and his family provided excellent service. The room was nice and the bed and linens were really comfortable. Having breakfast on the terrace was a nice touch (the scrambled eggs and banana crepes were excellent). They got us in touch with a private driver who drove us around the island for 2 days as we didnt't feel comfortable at all renting a scooter.

They booked us a snorkelling tour with an operator, the tour was nice and we got to see mantas!! The only downside is that it's advertised as 3h of snorkelling when it's actually closer to 1h45 so we felt a bit rushed in between diving spots. Apart from this, everything was great!

We had a great stay! The room was spacious and clean. The staff was really caring and we also enjoyed the breakfast! Would definitely recommend staying here 🙂

Wifi wasn't really fast in the last Bungalow.

Great bungalows and kind family who run the accommodation. For the price you pay you get a beautiful house with a nice and clean toilet and porch. The place is very quiet and the breakfast is also very tasty. You have free coffee, tea and water to refill plus the views from bungalows are very pleasant. Just a 5 min ride to the main road. The family helps you with pick up and activities, a 150k taxi to the port can be requested (better than bargaining with drivers who ask for 350k). AC works seamless. You can rent bikes there from 75k a day. Recommended and I would go back.

Wifi works so so. Signal in the island is not the best. One of the bikes we got was very worn and old. Communication was not always fast with them although they helped us a lot.

I have immensely enjoyed my stay with Greanleen cottages... bungalows are not only very well maintained but surrounded with astonishing garden and have a beautiful view on the see and mount Agung on mainland Bali. Location is perfect, only a few minutes ride to the village and very good access to all the attractions.... But that's not all. The family who owns this establishment were absolutely amazing hosts. Always ready to help and go even further like helping me with my malfunctioning phone, taking me to the harbor or settling things up with a local authorities when I was caught not wearing a helmet, which I always do, but at that particular occasion... I have enjoyed my stay so much that have decided to extend it for two additional days.

We had such a great time in Nusa Penida and this accommodation. The staff is best! They brought a welcomed plate with fruit and breakfast on the terrace for us, called a taxi to the port and they had a great recommendation about yoga which offers hotel which was opposite side.

Absolutely everything. Comfy beds, very well working aircon, very easy scooter rental for just 70,000 IDR/ day, amazing breakfast with all the classic choices of Indonesian breakfast, all sorts of egg variations with fantastic toast (non- sweet - which is very hard to come by in Indonesia for some reason) and banana cinnamon toast. Exceptionally clean rooms, beautiful warm and hot shower that was so easy to regulate. Super clean kettle and free tea/ coffee in room. Breathtaking garden. We were even greeted with a fruit platter that might look basic to you in the picture, but I can assure you you have never had fruit that delicious. We have been in many hotels in Indonesia now and this is honestly by far the best. Also big plus to me: the did never ask for any review, they were just helpful because they really wanted to be and because they truly cared. Moreover, I felt treated on eyelevel as a woman, which is for sure not a thing anywhere else I have been in Indonesia. Cultural reasons of course, but it was a big thing to me. And lastly - there is a FANTASTIC restaurant right next door, amazing food and drinks for both meatlovers and vegetarians - who don't often get many choices, but here you do. I added a picture of the vegetarian sandwhich my meatloving partner liked so much he ordered 2x in a row. Also, the place next door offers Yoga classes 2x/day (8am and 5pm) for 150,000 IDR walk in or you can get package deals. They also offer guided meditation (9am 150,000 IDR walk in) and many other things you can enjoy during your stay.
