Hampton Inn Sumter

I stayed that I was going to pay at the property, and they try to charge my card twice!

It appears they did an update at this hotel, but it was not a good makeover. Paint all over walls and never cleaned up. Furniture was not updated. Photos are not true. Don’t expect any of the amenities they picture to be found in your room. Minimalist at best breakfast food not cooked well raw potatoes under cooked ham. They charge without your knowledge, and not listed in the Hilton website, a $3 a night”Amenity” charge for having a pool and fitness center. I called the question to charge and the manager stated to me sister to what resorts have we charge three dollars for the use of our pool and fitness center. I stated I didn’t use either and she’s up with his but we always charge. I informed her that it doesn’t state discharge on the website and she stated it should. We’ve been doing this for two years. Essentially, they are scamming people out an additional three dollars even if the pools closed on top of it. In speaking with several town people and a police officer, they said there are better and safer places to stay in town. Check out the Tru or Springdale Suites. I will never return to this place again

Breakfast was great. I usually don’t eat breakfast when traveling, but I really enjoyed it. The attendant was very nice and helpful.

It was going good until at 10:24 someone walked in our room and turned on the lights. They over booked and gave him our room key. I stayed awake most of the night. The front desk had no excuse and very vague

Location was perfect, many stores within walking distance. Front desk was very nice and professional. Lobby and parking lot were clean. Clean and quiet rooms and a terrific breakfast. This will definitely be my "go to" for future travels. I hope this is the standard for Hampton Inn. I'd hate to book in another location, expecting the same, and be disappointed.

Tv was small and , in my opinion, it should be mounted on the wall. Not a deal breaker.

Lost our phone charger.

I want my money back asap . The noise from the laundry room made my stay absolutely miserable. If I could give this 0 stars I would please never stay on the 3rd floor near the laundry room because you won’t get any sleep
