Pluvio restaurant and rooms

Although I did not get to sample from the restaurant it looks absolutely amazing. My selfish suggestion is that they offer a dinner package for one-night solo business travelers, but otherwise the rooms are large, clean, and well-appointed. Staff is friendly and the surrounding area is beautiful with a few local shops and restaurants within walking distance. Only minor (very minor) complaint is that during restaurant service hours there is a bit of noise from the kitchen out the back, but unless you're going to bed very early and a light sleeper it shouldn't be an issue.

Unfortunately we stayed there the last night they were open before they closed for the season. We wanted to stay another night but they weren’t open. They welcomed our dog, had treats out, a bed for him, a special blanket and dog bowls. It was New Year’s Eve and they even provided a small bottle of champagne, on the house, for the occasion. If you went to a bigger city you’d expect to be easily paying upwards of $450 per night, if you were lucky, I know because I have. If they have a vacancy I’ll absolutely stay the night again.

They didn’t have enough staff to have the restaurant open for our stay. We were very disappointed as we read they have amazing food.

We loved everything! They went above and beyond. Everything is so clean, well-organized and the entire room is exceptionally beautiful!

Breakfast was lovely. They were meals tgat we ate in our rooms. Likely a Covid reality. I would have greatly preferred to have had breakfast in their restaurant. Overall it was still wonderful

We had an incredible stay at Pluvio. We booked the pet-friendly room and arrived to find a dog bed, dog bowls with water in them already, a dog blanket, dog towel, treats and waste bags as well as a cute private patio looking onto the garden. For us humans the accommodations were even better! The room was very spacious, the bed was super comfy, the decor was very stylish snd modern and our fridge was stocked with fresh breakfast (including homemade granola, yogurt, fruit, and a quinoa bowl) each day when we were out exploring (so our nervous dog was never bothered by door knocking). The staff all knew our names and were incredibly friendly. I’d stay here over and over again!

Super friendly staff and really nice rooms. Enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return. Can only recommend this place!

It is a tiny boutique hotel with only 4 rooms. The decor is minimalist but modern, clean and fresh and very spacious. They provide a fabulous gourmet healthy breakfast, a large variety of teas and coffee. Lily and Warren run the Pluvio restaurant next doors which is probably the best restaurant in Vancouver Island. Overall I believe this is one of the most fun places I have stayed in this year. We wish the best to Lily, Warren and the Pluvio team.
