breakfast was great, dinner was pretty good one night and subpar the next. desk staff very pleasant, and the female restaurant/bar staff were also, but the male restaurant/bar staff were not so pleasant. they seemed a bit miserable. not creepy, just like they would rather not be doing service industry work anymore. the spa is pretty delightful. the grounds are really lovely. you can go for a nice walk in the woods directly from the hotel grounds. if they don't have live music in the summer, they should because they certainly have the space for small outdoor concerts. It's well above my usual price range but I'm not a big spender. I would return just for the spa.

the spa doesn't open until 10 a.m., and it closes earlier than i'd like also.

tHE CHEF WAS EXCELLENT AND ACCOMMODATING

Hotel liegt in fußläufiger Entfernung von allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Zimmer war geräumig, aber hatte als einzige Tageslichtquelle nur ein Fenster in den schmalen Innenhof und war auch nicht sehr ansprechend ausgestattet. Aufzug vorhanden. Parken mit etwas Glück direkt vor der Haustür, ansonsten in den umliegenden Straßen.

Das Frühstück war bizarr: Toaster, Eierkocher und Kaffeekapselmaschine zwar vorhanden, aber alles ausgeschaltet. Kaffee nur aus einem Automaten, der die Brühe jedes Mal in einen neuen Plastikbecher (!) spuckte. (Genau so schmeckte diese Brühe dann auch!) Eine Mitarbeiterin war für das Frühstück zwar grds. vorhanden, zog es aber vor, sich in der Küche aufzuhalten. Rezeptionspersonal ebenfalls eher unengagiert. (Keine Rückfrage, ob alles in Ordnung war, man sich wohlgefühlt habe o.ä.)
