Cottonwood Suites Savannah Hotel & Conference Center

The property was generally clean and safe. It seems it used to be quite a grand place - it’s huge and there are elegant details which have grown shabby over time. It was definitely rough around the edges. Flickering lights, batteries need replacing, the water in the bathtub would not come on for me. It was late and I was traveling alone so I just made the best of it. Price was reasonable. I was only there overnight. Front desk staff was fine.

Reserved 2 rooms..was suppose to have the same room but had entirely 2 different rooms One was balcony and 1 wasn't. suppose to be next door to each other but instead was down the hall from each other. Opened the fridge and was dead baby roaches in the butter compartment

Very beautiful property inside and out. Staff is totally wonderful! However lukewarm shower water at 10:30 in the morning.

The hotel has been in a remodel for a very long time.

Breakfast buffet was a definite miss. The only good thing was the waffles. No hot water for coffee or oatmeal. This hotel had people living in it that had dog's. They we recarpeting so the second floor was a mess, no elevators and you can tell that people smoke in there( not cigarettes either)

The receptionist was reallly kind, helpful and made us feel welcome from the very beginning. We just did not like breakfast that muvh, there was not variation.

Was decent for the price

Never made it past check-in. Didn’t even stay at the hotel. Lobby was 85 degrees. Our room wasn’t ready at check-in. Was told 30 minutes, after 30 minutes was told 25-30 minutes. Hour and 15 minutes later room still not ready and was told not sure when it would be ready. Wasn’t offered another room either. After 1hr and 30 minutes of waiting we asked for our money back and went to another hotel. The blame was put on everybody else for the room not being ready. We called ahead to ensure the reservation and room. No place comfortable to even sit and wait.

I was surprised of the size of the hotel. My visit was for one night only. It was convenient to travel to the airport. I would utilize this location again and recommend it to others because of the affordable rates. I was impressed to see that they had a restaurant attached to it. I will definitely visit the restaurant next time.
