Comfortable clean room, good breakfast and good location.

The setting was beautiful with close proximity to some beautiful restaurents and the sea front down some nearby steps. the building was beautiful and cosy, Steven the owner was an absolute diamond of a host, both friendly and welcoming aswell as knowledgeable about the building and its history. The breakfast was phenomenal with a good choice of juices, cereals, toast and both veggie and full English breakfasts available. The beds were comfy and clean with elevator access to all floors except the loft. We will definitely be staying again 😊

Excellent location 1 min to the Victorian lift down to the beach, 5 mins from town centre, 10 mins from train station. We didn't drive, but there's some paid parking on the street outside. Great that the building has a lift, although you will need to get up about 4 steps to enter the front door. Would be useful to add a grab rail by the door to assist getting over the doorstep. Communal areas would benefit from a bit of refurbishment, but our room was recently refurbished and in excellent condition. Lovely modern bathroom with a good shower. Great double glazing. USB sockets on either side of the bed. Good wifi signal. Spotlessly clean.

Our only issue was the very deep mattress, which made it hard for my short girlfriend to get on and off the bed! But the host provided a step which helped her a lot. We didn't stay for breakfast because we thought £12.50 was a bit expensive, but actually the price is similar to other hotels in Scarborough, so not over priced for the town. The dining room looked lovely and you could see the sea from there!

Very clean hotel, room was very clean, bed really comfortable, bathroom was a good size and spotlessly clean, excellent wi-fi and great location. Staff were friendly and helpful
