Hampton Inn Wheeling

Stoped there on my way back to NJ from Ohio. Very nice and clean with a great breakfast. Explored wheeling a bit and it was very nice

Hotel appeared clean.

Kids took over the pool area 5 of the 6 nights we stayed and yelled and ran around, throwing chairs into pool one night, as well as jumping into hot tub while we sat in it. Hotel staff did nothing. Noise throughout night/early morning in hallways and room next to ours as folks laughed and partied. Stayed 6 nights on business and front desk staff screwed up and called me on day 5 and wanted to know why my stuff was still in room....I told the arrogant man that called that I had already talked to Hasaan about the 6th night and he said "Nothing was in his computer!" Clearly these folks need better training and a much better attitude when calling A CUSTOMER WHO SPENT $1,336.60 FOR THE 6 NIGHTS! I will return to Oglebay or try the Marriott across the street on my next visit to Wheeling in June for business. I was also told this Hampton lost its coveted "best Hampton in the world" status and after my visit.....I can see why.

Really the guest parking lot. A bit hilly and narrow having a long distance to front door.

Hampton Inn is my favorite affordable chain hotel. The staff were helpful and easy going, the room spacious with comfortable beds and a warm shower with decent pressure. The gym--which I didn't use but would have if our stay was longer--was honestly really impressive (we went down to refill water bottles). We didn't use the pool/hot tub/steam room, but it looked clean and enjoyable. Parking was free and plentiful, and I love that coffee (including decaf) is available all day, with flavored creamer available as well. Breakfast was good, though I didn't eat much just due to the nature of our trip.

I get frustrated when the hot eggs at a buffet are pre-made omelets with meat because I'm a vegetarian. (Hard boiled eggs are just not the same.)
