Mañarinegi Apartamentos Rurales

The apartment lays in a beautiful and quiet area. We really enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners on the balcony in the shadow (it was hot! So the shadow was nice). The apartment itself was like it is styled for a magazine ;) and it had everything we needed.

Beautiful location, lovely apartment

This was our first time in Basque country, which is GORGEOUS – tall mountain ranges kissed by the sea – great walking paths – and the local people are so warm. Our Mañarinegi apartment unit felt like we had jumped into the pages of an Architectural Digest magazine – a beautifully renovated structure and tastefully appointed. As travelers we rent a car and prefer to stay outside the city centers when in Spain. A 6-minute drive from the town center of Orio (which has restaurants/supermarkets/a nice walking path to the ocean), the apartment location is along a rural road and then up the Mañarinegi driveway (there is a Mañarinegi sign to give assurance you are going the right way!). The farmhouse is surrounded by ample green space. We stayed for 5-nights and it was a great central location to visit local wineries, quaint coastal towns, the Tolosa market, and the Playa de Itzurun. Lander is a great host. Very warm and kind, came on our arrival to greet us, give us keys and explain everything. The apartment is not so small at. It's very nice and quite comfy. Kitchen is very well equipped so it's really useful (not just for making coffee). Location of the house is few km outside Orio, but in a beautiful spot surrounded by nature, quiet and peaceful. No traffic, nothing just peace and quiet. In Orio you can get food or gas or whatever you need.

The only thing I really did not like about this place was the mattress. It's way to firm and for me pure torture to sleep on.

Excellent place at countryside, where you can enjoy hiking at seaside and also mountains. Quiet and relaxing. Local sidra, cheese, txakoli
