"Unsanitary & poorly maitained rooms"

Avoid this hotel. Our stay at the Royal Marang Hotel was extremely disappointing and far below what you would expect from a supposed 4-star property. The first room we were given had no hot water. After more than 1.5 hours of waiting and several staff members checking the issue, we were forced to move to another room located on the opposite side of the hotel, carrying all our luggage again. The second room had a strong chemical smell (similar to eucalyptus/petroleum) that made the room almost unbearable. It clearly seemed that some cleaning product had been used just before our arrival — which is unacceptable, especially considering that I am pregnant and such products should not be used in occupied rooms. We had to move a third time. In the last room, there were no proper blackout curtains, so daylight came through the entire night. This level of service and room quality is completely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 4 stars. Very disappointing experience.
