"Decent guest house near La Villette. "

This is a basic guest house near La Villette. It's easy to find and pretty convenient for the metro. I have issues with checking in, as nobody would open the door, despite me ringing and ringing the doorbell. I was only able to get in when another guest opened the door to go out. The hotel doesn't look like very much but the room was a decent size, and was clean and comfortable, the shower was good and the wifi worked fine. For Brits like me, the bonus is that there's a kettle in the room.There's no lift (as far as I could see), so you do need to be ok with stairs. Overall, it's pretty good value for the money and you'd struggle get this level for the same price in central Paris.
