Oceanic Hotel

The property was dirty and musty, very, very outdated and very small. We literally walked into a room with a bed, closet, and tiny bathroom. If we could have found something else in the area, we would have LEFT. We will NOT be referring this place, nor will we ever return here. They need to upgrade and update EVERYTHING!!! If you've ever gone somewhere and was too ashamed to post a picture, well this was one of those places.... It was HORRIBLE!!!

Minimal parking and over flow parking is like two blocks away. Bed comfy. Recently renovated bathroom nice. No chairs, tables or bedside lighting in room. Very minimalistic place to stay but price was reasonable and location good. Located directly across the convention center and end of the boardwalk and restaurants within waking distance

Had higher hopes for this property but upon entering our room the door had to be lifted in order to open or shut it and my husband was the only one who could really do it. Bathrooms, floors and white towels all had black long hairs on them. Rooms needed to be cleaned more efficiently. The pool had globs of hair in it and was super cloudy.

The ocean view room we had was not as pictured on Expedia. The curtains had tears/holes in them, the doors all stuck, floors were dingy, the patio was soaked because the AC above us was pouring water on it, had to open the shower door to sit on the toilet (but at least that part of the room was clean). Glass door to patio doesn't have anything to block the streetlights directly across from you, so it's VERY bright at night. Several of the frosted panels on the patio door were replaced with clear glass, adding to the charm of the place. Despite the expedia listing saying "The front desk is open daily from 8:00 AM - midnight" they are not open until 9AM. They have a box at the front desk for early checkout, but it isn't secured and if someone takes your key from their box after you left, THEY BILL YOU AN EXTRA $20. Scam.

Staff and owner were nice

This hotel is within walking distance to the Boardwalk, directly across the street from the Ocean and close to dining areas . The Oceanic has a swim up TikiBar pool side and a bar below. The staff was helpful and polite . Very limited parking outside the hotel with another parking down the street, first come first serve and only allows 1 car with registration, making it challenging to find inexpensive overnight parking nearby. However, We would stay here again.

Owner and staff super nice The only thing I didn’t like was that the pool was open to the public so it was super crowded But for the time we used it it was fine

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but I felt it was necessary to share my experience. The lobby of this hotel was extremely disappointing — outdated, dirty, and poorly maintained. The carpets were badly stained, and the doors looked filthy and worn down. It gave a very unwelcoming first impression. The room itself was just okay, besides a few stains, there was a strange smell that made it hard to relax. When we voiced our concerns to both the hotel staff and Expedia, we were met with little to no help. The hotel didn’t seem interested in addressing the issue as the manager would be in Saturday (the day we check out) and Expedia’s only solution was to insist we stay, somewhere we clearly felt uncomfortable. I wasn’t looking for luxury, but I did expect a basic level of cleanliness and professionalism. Unfortunately, this stay didn’t meet even those expectations. I hope the hotel takes these concerns seriously and makes some much-needed improvements.
