"Quick and Kind"

The staff was super attentive and always had my car waiting. From the first day, Keith recognized me from our initial checking and took care of us like a perfect gentleman. Always positive, fast and efficient so we were never waiting out in the cold. I was super impressed with the staff by the level of volume the Marriott had this weekend

"Conference in KC"

Came as part of National Black Deaf Advocates Biannual conference. The stay is beautiful with good layout. Easy access to room. The room is adequate and have no problem. No microwave or refrigerator available. Unfortunately, I did not use any of hotel amenities except being busy running the conference. I did use dine breakfast mostly on daily basis. The other restaurant, once and it okay but not superior with price as well. Hotel does not offered shuttle to airport but there is taxi or uber. I would not recommend public transportation to the airport thought.

"Great hotel & lobby bar. Walking distance to P&L, Music Hall and Convention Center."

This is a very nice hotel. It isn't cheap - but it is perfectly located downtown to park and walk or ride the street car. Parking is $35 / night for self park - but you'll pay that or more (if you could even find other parking). Mobile check-in was seamless. Self park was easy. Rooms were great - with very comfortable beds and a great view. The Lobby / Bar is very lively with huge TVs similar to a Las Vegas Sports Book. The people watching is great. While we were there - Kansas State vs Nebraska, Chiefs vs Colts, a wedding, & Juliet Broadway musical and some kind of Anime convention. We walked to Guy Fieri's Taco Dive and then to Music Hall. We walked to Constantino's Italian market for coffee and Tiramisu. We didn't eat there - but had a drink at the bar and made lots of new friends. :)

"Deflect and Deny. Beware!"

During a recent stay at the Marriott Kansas City I had a truly disappointing experience that has only worsened with the property’s response. I accidentally left a pair of sunglasses in my room and contacted the hotel immediately—literally within the time it took to finish my Uber ride. Despite their own lost-and-found policy promising prompt follow-up and communication, they failed to uphold even the basics of that commitment. For five days, I received contradictory information from different staff members. Instead of taking accountability, investigating properly, or simply following their own procedures, the staff appeared more concerned with covering up mistakes. Even now, management continues to deny or deflect responsibility. While I cannot say I personally witnessed anyone take my property, I am entirely confident it was left in the room—and in my view, the staff mishandled it. The manager’s refusal to follow policy only allowed the situation to escalate unnecessarily. What makes this even worse is the property’s response. Their claim that attempts at “service recovery and compensation have not been to your satisfaction” is misleading at best. The compensation they offered for this “unfortunate occurrence” was 2,000 Marriott points—an amount so small it’s almost insulting. For context, the average stay at this property costs around 34,000 points, meaning their offer amounts to just 5.9% of a typical night. In dollar terms, that’s $16.78 for a stay valued at roughly $300, which they openly admitted they “mishandled.” This attempt at resolution is not only inadequate but disingenuous. Their response tries to trivialize the situation and portray me as unreasonable, when in reality the failure lies in their lack of honesty, transparency, and basic competence. Requiring guests to use a third-party site like ilostmystuff.com clearly isn’t working, and in this case, it completely failed its intended purpose. To ensure this incident is properly documented, I’ve filed a lost property report with the Kansas City Police Department. If similar issues arise for others in the future, there will at least be a formal record to reference. Losing the sunglasses is disappointing, but the way this property handled the situation—and continues to handle it—has been far worse. I expected much higher standards from Marriott and from their management team, including the General Manager, Dustin. I have completely lost trust in the Marriott brand, and I will not be staying here again. I strongly encourage others to think carefully before booking at this property.

"High level"

Hotel Is great Valet staff is next level. Alvin Trey and keito made me feel like I owned the place The bar, restaurant and all the rest is great but has off to the valet setting the tone when you arrive.
