"We did not get to stay due to it being mandatory shut down. We was giving NO notice!"

Nothing the building was empty due to being shut down

We reserved a room a month before our stay. We drove 5 hours on the 4th of July to find out that the hotel was shut down 2 weeks before we arrived. They were shut down by the town and gave no notice to us! We arrived to see furniture in the parking lot windows missing and chains blocking the entrance. Due to it being the 4th of July no hotels were available so we had to drive 5 hours back home on the same day. Them not reaching out was wrong and I will no longer use booking.com... It ruined our 4th of July holiday and being stuck in a car for over 12 hours was ridiculous.

The property used to be nice. We didnโ€™t get to stay there this time because the hotel was closed

The fact that we were able to book the stay, and we were told last minute, like the night before we were due to check in, that the hotel was closed.

I was charged 603 dollars for a motel that is closed. I have got no help with this situation whatsoever. Our whole vacation was ruined. Due to being a popular destination and out of money we had no choice but to drive 6 hours back home.

The sand dunes were so high you could not see the beach and ocean from the 2nd floor.

It was very dirty, loud and not what pictures made it out to be. Lots of things wrong with the room
