Hampton Inn & Suites Tempe/Phoenix Airport, Az

Stayed here the night before our flight out of the Phoenix airport. Convenient location to the airport. Front desk staff was friendly. Included breakfast was good. Hotel was quiet and not very busy during our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Would recommend if need a hotel close to the airport.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times previously and always had an amazing stay. I booked a room and used the hotel to park my car when I flew out of Sky Harbor. So first problem was the room..the bed was so soft and worn that I literally fell into a hole, it was the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. I informed the front desk about it that morning before heading to the airport and was basically dismissed, I told him that someone should fix it. The biggest issue was the shuttle service on the way back. I called the front desk upon retrieving my luggage and she told me to call her back once I walked outside to the curb. What? It took me three minutes to walk outside to the curb, where I promptly called her back. She told me that it would be a Holiday Inn shuttle that would pick me up, I waited about 25 minutes and a shuttle from Holiday Inn pulled up but he said it didn’t service my hotel. So I called the hotel front desk back. She said she would find out what was going on, but 40 minutes from when I called I ended up booking an Uber to drive me back. I had traveled all day and then had a 3 hour drive home, so this sealed the deal for me. Management reached out, but we’ll never return. They really need to get their act together.

Room was a little cramped and didn’t like sliding barn door for bathroom.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. My room was CLEAN. That is very important for me when I travel for work. I don't need luxury, but I need safe and clean. Some places can be rated as very good, and you arrive at a dirty room. So I sincerely appreciate how this place is actually very clean. The breakfast was nice. Healthy/ Protein options. There's a nicely equipped little gym too.

There was nothing I didn't like

The staff was friendly, the facilities were decent, and breakfast had many options. The rooms are also spacious and we've been able to choose the floor we want so far on every stay.

The bed was a little too firm for my comfort and the air doesn't seem to circulate well in the room.
