Hotel Indigo Edinburgh by IHG

We were warmly welcomed by staff.It was a midweek trip and we were given an upgrade, for no fee. It was my wife Trisha's birthday and we were given a free drink to redeem at the bar.Our room was clean fresh and stylish, with a raised seating area. We slept soundly and next day, breakfast was delicious.We we're going to explore the city and we could leave our luggage until we returned, despite having checked out.

Very friendly staff, location great for town, rooms clean and airy, good shower. Nice little bar area for that last night cap on return from Edinburgh's pubs. Overall very difficult to fault. Would definitely go back.

Had a lovely stay here in York Place. We arrived earlier than checkin time but our room was ready & we were upgraded. Room was lovely. Tea, coffee, water, juice & biscuits included. Breakfast was of good quality & choices. All staff were friendly & approachable. Highly recommend & would definitely return

We stayed at Hotel Indigo at York Place to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful experience overall. Upon arrival, we were delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise and made our stay feel even more special. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed, with some thoughtful added extras. There were robes and slippers, and the mini fridge was stocked with cans of fizzy juice and water, which was a nice touch. We also appreciated the chocolate biscuits, shortbread fingers, along with the usual tea, coffee, milk and hot chocolate selection. My partner always needs an iron when we go away, so it was great that one was already provided in the room, which was really convenient. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we both slept like logs. The only small downside was that the air conditioning/heating system wasn’t the easiest to regulate, and the windows couldn’t be opened, which made it a little tricky to get the temperature right. In the morning we went down to breakfast and were greeted by the lovely Willie. He was so friendly and welcoming and really added to the experience. He seated us and explained how the breakfast worked. The continental selection was exceptional, with plenty of choice and something for everyone. The hot menu was slightly smaller, but still catered to a range of preferences and everything we had was delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. The thoughtful touches, comfortable room and genuinely friendly staff made the experience memorable. We would happily stay again and would highly recommend Hotel Indigo at York Place to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Good location and the hotel style was great The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good

There was a constant tapping in the room which was annoying the room was on the small size and felt a bit cramped. And the view was no existent.
