Quality Inn Brunswick Cleveland South

It was an older property that had updating efforts. Bathtub was old and had rust. Beds and floor in room were updated and clean. Common breakfast area was updated.

Arrived. Parking lot very empty. Lobby smelled like marijuana. Someone from back room came up and asked if he could help me. I told him we were checking in. He said they were overbooked for the night and said they had no room. I told him I had a reservation. He said he could put in a room with a bed and pull out if I gave him 30 minutes to clean it. Not acceptable and based on the fact that parking lot was very sparse something was up! We walked out.

The facility was VERY clean and our welcome and check-in was easy and pleasantly friendly.

The air conditioner in our room was super loud and we never could figure out how to get a comfortable/consistent temperature throughout the night. Also- the free breakfast was not at all appealing. I was grateful for the apples and oranges though.

Very well appointed room for the price. Quiet location but 16 miles from the airport. We appreciated that the rroom was well lit as most hotel rooms have inadequate lighting. A Bob Evans restaurant, bank, and shopping were a short walk away.

On check-in, I was told the elevator wasn’t working and the clerk thought I wouldn’t mind using the stairs.

The reason I rated the facilities as "Poor" was that as we see all too often when asked about the pool, which is listed as an amentiy in the hotel description, we were told it was closed for maintenance. In Mid-June???? really?? What a load of crap. My guess is it never opens, just to save money. If the hotel isn't going to keep it up, don't even say you have one.

All around a solid 4 for a good hotel stay. We definitely got what we expected, and would stay again in the future!
