Santo Tomas Hotel

Lovely building in a nice little area. I love that they had fridges and microwaves around for your use. Good wifi. Nice staff.

I would have like more towels! 2 small towels between us wasn't enough in the cold snap ! But the cleaning lady kindly obliged.

We loved this hotel. Initially we had booked just for our first night in Costa Rica. However after the first night we booked again for another night at the end of our holiday. It's a lovely old place, thoughtfully restored. The room was perfect for us. The staff friendly and helpful. All followed by an excellent breakfast.

Personnel incroyablement accueillant, souriant, chaleureux! Ils nous ont aidés avec tous les détails de notre séjour, incluant le départ à l'aéroport. La piscine est merveilleuse, les chambres propres et confortables et que dire de la beauté historique de l'établissement. Super bien situé, à 10-15 minutes de marche de tous les musées! Un letit oasis de paix à San Jose!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a number of covered seating areas which were great when the weather was a bit chilly. The one outside our room had the sun on it all afternoon so you felt like you were sitting outside without actually getting wet. They have a pool but the weather wasn't good enough to use it. There is a fridge and microwave in the corridor for everyone to use and wasn't overly busy. Great location for shops and restaurants although most of them seem to close quite early

The seating area was outside our room so we couldn't have our curtains open without lack of privacy, this only affect room 31 & 32, if they put some film over the window this was sort this out, but apart from that would recommend
