Mountain View Lodge

The manager was so friendly and accommodating when we needed an early check-in. Room was so clean and ready to go earlier than expected! Restaurant on site has wonderful service and burgers were delish!

A little hiccup checking in. Charged the card instead of putting a hold on it. It was refunded immediately once notified. Room was really nice and the bed was very comfortable. We will be returning to this location again in the future.

We were pleasantly surprised at this property. When first driving up it looks a little run down but we booked it because of the great price. Inside was very clean, beds comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed. Also, the young man working the counter was very nice, we chatted with him for a bit. They have a little cafe attached to the office. We didn't have time to sit and eat but got a breakfast burrito to go. The ladies working it were very nice, the price was good and the food was very good.

Not the best place

The room was marginally clean. We had no great expectations. I have been in hospitality industry 50+ years. Outside appeared to not have been swept in weeks. Gentleman at desk on check in was going through motions and didn't want to be there. No suggestion to try the restaurant and didn't offer any information about what was close by. I understand in small locale it can be difficult getting help, but then ownership needs to provide the training and motivation. Check out no one at desk and no-one showed up. We just left. Disappointed. We like to try independent hotels and give them our business. We won't be back here. Hope you can use this to improve cleanliness and service. Tom Ferree

Great overnight place. Quiet. Room was clean. Friendly, helpful staff. But…. Outside walkways were filthy (need to be pressure washed) cigarette butts everywhere. Exterior trash cans were overflowing and right in front of our door.

It was an ok place except cleanliness. Dirty sheets, bedspread, towels left on back of door. They need deep cleaning regularly, dusting, wash down surfaces. Carpets need to be cleaned. The outside has dirt and cigarette buds everywhere. I found a broom and swept. All they need to do is use a blower every day to remove debri from property. The actual rooms are good. They moved us to a different room and then changed sheets, etc. in that room. Honestly they need to clean more thoroughly.

Room was dated but clean and quiet. Good value.

I stayed here in 2017. I was back in the area so I stayed here again. From 2017 until now, I can say that this property has gone downhill. In 2017 the rooms and property looked so much better than now. There used to be decorative pillows on the bed decorated with pictures of Bryce and Zion. The property was clean in 2017 and nicely decorated with tables and chairs. Now there is a trailer in the parking lot. Tables and chairs are just wherever. Cigarette butts all over the ground. There is a container of lighter fluid at the end of the hallway. It was there my whole stay. It just looks like they don't care anymore how the rooms and parking lot looks. In my room, the safety latch on my door was missing. It broke or whatever and it looks like it's not a priority to fix it. The floor squeaks when walking across the room. It looks like thin carpet on top of a wood floor. It squeaks just like walking on a floor in a 100 year old house. When taking a shower, the temperature of the water will go from warm to scalding hot for about 1 second and then go back to warm. It kept doing this over and over. Not sure if this is happening because another room flushed the toilet. So take note of this if you have small children. This is a serious safety issue. I arrived in the late afternoon to check in. It took forever because the front desk wasn't staffed. No one was there. Also there is no one at the front desk in the morning until 9am.
