Quinta do Pé Descalço Guesthouse Sintra

Patricia and Ricardo were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their warmth, hospitality, and local tips made us feel truly at home and helped us fall even more in love with Portugal. From delicious breakfasts to personalised recommendations, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. We can’t recommend this place enough and would love to return on our next trip!

The tranquility, the terrace the pool, the inclusive breakfast

It’s a stunning house, beautifully furnished and clean. Great facilities, a common room area to use and we loved the pool area. We were worried, having 2 older children, that they might ruin the ambiance of the poolside, but they were very welcomed and had a fab time. Our room was bright with a massive bathroom, and the boys room (bunkbeds) was perfectly fine for them. We were introduced to Pepi the parrot, who whistled in appreciation at the guests, especially me!!! And Nina, the 3 legged cat, has my heart! Breakfast was lovely, lots of fresh fruit, cereal, fresh bread, cake, cheese and meats. Patricia and Ricardo work really hard to make sure everything is perfect for your stay with them. Lots of great stories and tips for things to do and places to eat locally, and further afield. Thanks guys :)

The countryside location brings tranquility, but it also means you can not really walk to the nearest town/restaurants (our eldest son is disabled). But Ubers are cheap, so it caused no problems for us.

This is a great place to stay! Very relaxed and quiet place, clean, big room, nice pool and friendly owners. I didn't have a car, but that was no problem thanks to Uber.

A mini fridge in the room or a common kitchen would make it more perfect. The road to the house is very dark at night. That's no problem when you have a car, but when you walk back from the restaurant it's something to keep in mind.

Patricia and Ricardo have given to us a warm welcome, an excellent bottle of rosé and home made cake to feel just like at home. Our Superior Room was furnished high quality and with a lot of taste. The bathroom was perfectly clean and high standard. We did appreciate the calm and comfort of the area (swimming pool in the garden), the excellent breakfast with home made and healthy products (every morning fresh fruits,…) Ricardo has a lot of humour and the hosts give You all support you need to have a great stay at Sintra. We can highly recommend this location with an excellent level of price/quality. We are looking forward to come back. Thanks to Patricia & Ricardo.

My recent stay at Quinta do pe Descalco was nothing short of exceptional, we booked 2 rooms one for me and my partner and one for my Mom, we got married in Sintra so we wanted a place calm and serene away from home. Patricia her husband and all the staff were exceptional in making us feel comfortable before the wedding preparation afterwards, they gifted us a lovely rose bottle to celebrate, left us some snacks from breakfast the next day as we slept in late, accommodated our needs and request it felt like being in a relative home. They speak so many languages, and communication flows easily, my wedding necklace fell in the sink and they called someone to help take it out, it was super helpful, I remember the time spent at the Quinta fondly, it was such a peaceful time, the surroundings are beautiful, with a lovely pool so much greenery and a lovely garden, you won't regret staying there.

The Quintas location is simply breathtaking. Surrounded by lush greenery and serene water bodies, it provides a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon. The views from the living room were stunning, overlooking the pool and the garden during breakfast creating an idyllic setting for relaxation. The breakfast was lovely and homey, there's everything one needs. Fresh fruits, juices and cake every item was delicious. The service at the Quinta was impeccable. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly attentive and friendly, always eager to assist with a genuine smile. Check-in was smooth, throughout our stay, we felt supported and attended to at any time. Thank you so much for this lovely serene stay.

Everything was perfect!

The hosts were great. The welcome brochure is very useful and complete with a lot of advice about restaurants, places to go, beaches, etc… The Quinta accepts a maximum of 13 guests which makes a lot of space and never have to fight for a place in or around the swimming pool.

The property owners are lovely and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. The downside was how isolated the place was from everything. But that can be seen as a positive if you want an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the tourists.
