Alla Pescheria

We stayed at Alla Pescheria in Rovinj from Nov.19-20. The town was quiet during our visit, with many shops were closed, and the weather was rainy but mild. The building is old, but the rooms are modern and well-designed. Avior provided an electric vehicle upon arrival, and Manuel was very helpful, assisting with our luggage and navigating the steep, narrow stairs to the room. They also arranged timely transportation for us when departing for Ljubljana. Be aware of the challenging stairs if you have large luggages. Overall, a pleasant and well-organized stay!

It is located in the heart of the old city. The apartment is modern, divided on two floors with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen, ACs in all rooms. Clean and comfortable beds. You check in at an office off site and we were transferred to the old city with an electric car, which was very convenient. We left our car at their parking space near the office which was great since you cannot really park in Rovinj. Communication with Patrick before arrival was great. However....

We were surprised by the very steep stairs going up the building. Although this might be common in Rovinj, nowhere in their photos there is a photo of these steps so that people who are booking can decide if they fit them or not. The upper bathroom has no window shutter (it's missing) with no blind/curtain. If you're showering you'll be clearly visible from the street below. Being we visited in winter the bathroom in the attic was freezing cold. On the last day, for check-out they had to pick us up again to take us to their office for check-out and get our car, but no one picked us up. After half an hour waiting and calling to no answer, we walked with the luggages to their offices (around 20 minutes on cobble street). So we ended up wasting almost an hour of our day. They did apologize by text after around 2hrs but still found this to be unprofessional.

The location can't be better. Its a lot of steps going to the apartment but not as bad as they lock at the first time. Definitely apartment is worth to climb these steps.

We arrive around 8:20 PM having problem finding the place. Great the guy waits for us to give as a key. But beside that he was careless and not so helpful. He told us to walk with luggage to apartment. Finaly, we order taxi.

Great location in Rovinj. Walkable and easy access to the old downtown and a nice walk to the beaches. Only issue was the stairs up to the apartment - there were a lot. But, great location.

Great location and the apartment was well presented and equipped.

Access stairs were steep and narrow and might not suit someone with mobility issues.

Huge space in city center with 2 full bathrooms and bedrooms, spacious living room, dining area, and kitchen. Great amenities like a dishwasher, washing machine for clothes with a drying rack and iron, etc. Employees were very helpful. Even though they are obviously very busy, they make you feel like they have plenty of time for your needs.

Lots of stairs, typical of an old building like this one - the employee who took us by golf cart to the apartment semi-jokingly told us to consider it “charming.” He’s right, but it’s quite a few stairs. Also parking is far from the apartment, so pack accordingly.

The stairs are very steep and unlit. For anyone with poor balance, poor eyesight, or bad knees, do not rent this place.

The service (check in in the outskirts of Rovinj) at the office, where you can park the car (at a payment fee) was very professional. The old city is only accessable by 'car' with permit, so a visitor cannot get in there. With golf carts they bring you to the appartment. The appartment (take 45 stairs to get there) is very spacious, nicely decorated and covers 2 floors. It is suitable for 6 if you like, but for the 2 of us it was HUGE. After checking in late, we settled ourselves, went for a walk and upon return we lost power in the appartment. But with the help of the back office, just before the weekend started and everybody would be free, we managed to reach somebody JUST IN TIME. So we were very gratefull that we could fix it via a telephone call. We needed to find the switch board and then all was back OK. Thank you again.

Quite a climb with the luggage. But this is the situation as it is, so you get fitter every time you take the stairs.
