The Berkeley Richmond, Outset Collection by Hilton

The room was not well cleaned. There was a sticky substance on the table next to the bed. The bathtub had mold in the corners. There was a broken glass in the one functional elevator. We notified the front desk. It was still there several hours later. Since the hotel is only 5 stories, all of the rooms are very close to the road, which stays busy with loud trucks late into the night. I understand the hotel is undergoing some much needed renovations, but the problems we experienced were unrelated to that. I really don’t understand how this place is rated amongst TripAdvisor’s best hotels in Richmond. I won’t be using TripAdvisor again to choose a hotel.

Alfredo at the Front Desk was exceptional. The valet on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning were friendly and accommodating.

The key machine at the Front Desk did not work consistently, and my room key had to be recorded three times. Even then, I had to insert key card three times, once after the red light, a second time after the orange and red light...the 3rd time unlocked the room. I belueve a new and updated key coding machine is in order!!

The staff was exceptionally nice, helpful and professional. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The property was in walking distance for most events that we were going to.

We had such a great stay at The Berkeley in Richmond VA. The customer service was amazing and Noah and Sarah at the front desk were super friendly, professional, and really made us feel welcome. The lady who worked the evenings was also so kind and helpful (sorry we didn’t catch your name!). The rooms are newly renovated, spacious, and beautifully done with modern touches that make them super comfy and relaxing. Everything felt fresh and clean. The location couldn’t be better. It’s right on a cool street with tons of great restaurants and pubs just steps away. It was a great experience despite the current renovations. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful older hotel going through a renovation. Rooms were roomy, well decorated, clean and comfortable but in need of upgrades Perfect location to restaurants, canal walk , Brown island and historic sites Would certainly recommend if in Richmond

Biggest problem were guests on third floor were so loud at 12 pm i had to go out and get them to shut up as people were sleeping. Took 2 xs. Rude.
