Every time we come here the hotel is clean, updated and the service/staff is excellent. Daily breakfast is great, and I always appreciate a noon checkout instead of 10 or 11. We will continue to come here when visiting Madison to see our daughter.

The water pressure of the shower was dismally weak- it took forever to wash out my shampoo & conditioner.

I’m staying at the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Madison, Wisconsin, and it hasn’t been a pleasant experience. The design gives you zero privacy. The patio is right at the front entrance, which feels more like a way for the hotel to keep eyes on its guests than a spot to relax. The Wi-Fi is a joke. It struggles to hit 5 Mbps, and half the time the speed test won’t even complete before crashing. The login screen pops up constantly, interrupting anything you try to do on your phone. Forget trying to work on a laptop. For a Hilton-branded property, this is embarrassing. If they cared about business travelers, they’d put hardwired connections in the rooms. The USB port on the nightstand doesn’t even work, which I only found out when I woke up after the first night with a dead phone. The ice machines on both the third and fourth floors are broken, so every time I want ice, I have to ride the elevator around the building like it’s part of the entertainment package. In my room, the clock is four minutes off. That’s small, but it tells you nobody’s paying attention to the basics. Location doesn’t help either. Unless you want the one restaurant next door, you’re stuck Ubering or walking two and a half miles to get to anything else. Between the busted amenities, broken details, and garbage internet, this place is disappointing from top to bottom.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was always available and very accommodating. It was nice to have a fully stocked kitchen.

Jenny the person behind the desk did an amazing job taking care of issue over the phone two days before arrival. She was behind the desk also upon arrival for check. She started out the stay Awesome. Extremely nice, helpful, patient and understanding. The room/stay was exactly what I was looking for during time in Madison.
