RESORT ON THE BEACH 1219/20

Location and building were good

Amenities were lacking, no tea towel, no frying pan, no soaps or hair products for showering in the en suite. Check in was late due to still cleaning

The pool and facilities were amazing. Close to the the beach and foot path/ cycle way all the way into town.

Beautiful Resort away from home

Sad that we didn’t have pool towels. Nor any bath items only to find out they were under the kitchen sink on the day we were leaving.

Great location with patrolled beach just outside the resort. Full use of resort facilities including myltiple pools, also conveniently located with restaurants and shops.

Would have been good to have pool towels, and also some cooking essentials. There were no cooking essentials for example salt, pepper, cooking oil, foil etc.

The 2 bedroom apartment is an excellent size for a family of up to 4. This one had an exceptionally comfortable king bed. The best we’ve slept in apart from our own! Fully stocked kitchen (cooktop, microwave, kettle, toaster) with a dishwasher and washing machine. Thoughtful touches like clothes drying racks on the balcony, a few dishwasher and washing machine tablets are provided as is a tea towel, dish cloth and dishwashing liquid. Hand soap in the bathroom was great, but soap or body wash for the shower would have been helpful. Enough toilet paper is provided for 5 nights but we needed to top it up ourselves for 7 nights. We didn’t bother with the aircon at night, we just had the fan going and kept the balcony doors open so we could hear the ocean. No issue with bugs. Good location as closer to the main pool than where we have previously stayed. Private balcony compared to other locations and plenty big enough for a large 6 seater table (provided) plus an extra 6-8 chairs could fit. It was a huge balcony! Overlooks the Salt Beach carpark, but that didn’t bother us as it also looked towards the tree break of the beach so you got a wonderful sunset from the bedroom. One streetlight was out in the carpark which meant we had no light shining into the room at night, which was perfect, but it gets repaired, it would be exactly eye height from the bed and you would have to have the shutters closed to block it out, which would be a shame. It was amazing looking out at the tree tops and the sky from the bed. Top tip - pain au chocolat from the patisserie heated in the oven make an excellent breakfast to consume on the balcony as the sun peeks over the trees.

Some noise from restaurants below as they packed up, but it was done by 11pm and it was only because we slept with the doors open that we noticed. Soap or body wash for the shower would be helpful and an extra roll of toilet paper per room for a 7 night stay.

great location. the resort is lovely the staff were cery helpful at Lj Hooker Kingscliff when we couldn’t find the room :)

a few things wrong with the room. the fridge didn’t close properly the clock didn’t work the front of the washing machine kept falling off. this is also the first place we’ve been to that didn’t at least have tea and coffee and some soap for the showers provided.
