B&B Shining

Everything was just great! Very welcoming host, every even small question answered. Variative delicious breakfast. The room fresh, light and clean, everything done with soul and love. It was our best stay in Sicily. Tremendous thanks to Corrado and his mother - and only best wishes.

The place is the ground floor of a house, made into rooms for guests. It is spotlessly clean, spacious enough, with a little private porch in front of the room. The mattress, pillows, sheets are super comfortable. Breakfast, although we visited in low season- mid May- and were the only guests, was perfect as far as both variety and quality are concerned. Coffee (cappuccino and espresso) could be better, but generally we noticed that it is an over- praised topic as regards Italy, as we are used to better coffee back home (Greece). The owner/ host is as perfect as the place he runs. He will go out of his way, with a warm, unpretentious smile and manners to make you feel you are valued and your needs should be met... The place is just a few meters from the beach which we did not enjoy as we did not have the time and the weather was still cold, windy and rainy.

As the rooms are on the ground floor with a tall wall surrounding the yard, the view from the room is blocked, although there would not be much to see around the house anyway. The location is a bit out of the main roads and the area does not have much to offer if you can't go swimming. On the other hand, Noto is a 20 minute drive and Ortigia (Syracuses) easy to reach too.

This is a fantastic B&B and Corrado was an excellent host. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was great with everything you could want and a large bowl of lots of different fruits. Highly recommended!

Everything was absolutely perfect. Amazing hosts, breakfast was excellent and the best homemade cake that you must try. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Recommend 10/10 👌🏻

B&B Shining Avola is placed in a great part of Sicily, close to amazing beaches and other places worth visiting, such as Syracuse, Noto and Modica. It’s a quiet place, only few people can live there at the same time and we got to meet them and connect with them even for a little bit. The host Corrado and his family are amazing people! They make your stay feel like being at home! Very friendly and hospitable!

A family business with wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast, every day a new home made cake that was fluffier and tastier than the last. They gave great recommendations for our trip. The location was excellent. And we got every day a little snack to go. Very thoughtful. Our room had everything we needed. When we had a little issue with our shower drain, they fixed it right away. Overall excellent service for a great price. After having travelled multiple times across Sicily over the years, this is by far my favourite accommodation, and definitely the best price/value ratio.

Very minor but the terrace’s privacy could be improved by putting up maybe a screen or some taller potted plants that make it a little more cosy, and less easy to see in from outside, as other guests pass by it during breakfast e.g. and it also makes it difficult to leave the curtains open in the room, leaving it a little dark.

We enjoyed the property as well as the breakfast. Very kind recommendations on what to visit. Owners are available for any needs that we had, highly appreciated. Breakfast is plentiful and the owner makes a fresh cake every day. They easily accommodated lactose intolerance as well.

Honestly the best b&b we have ever stayed in! Corrado and his parent were attentive, friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless and the breakfast with fresh fruit, fresh pastry, home made cakes, juices and coffees was simply incredible. We can’t praise this enough. I’m addition, the price is very reasonable and location is perfect for beach, Avola and getting around the local area. Top 🔝 B&B

The host family was incredibly nice and very attentive. The breakfast is very diversified, so you will find something to your taste. We loved that we could take our meal on our terrace. You can reach the beach or a good restaurant by foot

You could hear sounds from the adjacent rooms or from the outside.

For us, the B&B was perfect; small, family-run, very clean, with the facilities we needed for a quiet holiday. Corrado and his family were very friendly and helpful and really couldn’t do enough for us.

We found the mattress to be a bit too hard, but that is simply our preference.
