Chez Mimosa Rice Field Retreat

Good location.

Mistake on room on arrival. 2 nights in the wrong room before having to move mid stay

It was in a quiet location but only a short grab ride from Hoi an and An Hang beach. The accommodation provides a free shuttle to Hoi an. The pool was fantastic and the rooms were very spacious. Breakfast was really lovely and the staff were very helpful.

Ruhige entspannte Lage (allerdings nur, wenn Kinder nicht im Pool spielen oder sich Gäste bis Mitternacht lautstark am Pool unterhalten), Personal schickte mir freundlicherweise meine verloren gegangene Badehose kostenfrei nach.

Fahrräder könnten in einem besseren Zustand sein, Frühstück könnte abwechslungsreicher sein (aber es werden Obst, Müsli, Brot, Eier, Pfannkuchen und wenig Salat angeboten).

A few more fans in dining area would be great .small issue though

Our only complaint is that the beds were too comfortable so it was hard to get up in the morning 😄

The golden middle point between being close to Hoi An's hustle and bustle center (20 minutes by bicycle/ 7 minutes by motorbike) and being in a quiet village like atmosphere with the wonderful rice fields. The team is very friendly and willing to solve any requests guests might have.

Alongside the positive aspects of the hotel, there are several areas that require improvement and prevented it from receiving a perfect score. First, regarding the pool area: upon arrival, the water was murky, and although it seemed to improve, it was not always fully clear. The surrounding area was also untidy and not very inviting. At times, no clean towels were available, while used ones remained on loungers for hours. In the rooms, general cleanliness was acceptable, but there was visible mold in the shower corners, and the armchair cushions had an unpleasant, damp smell. The towels were worn out and developed a bad odor after just one use. Additional notice, not something that can be changeable, but should be considered when you decide which room to book: ground-floor rooms lack privacy due to their proximity to the pool and nearby walkways. We were woken at 7 a.m. by children playing less than two meters from our glass door, which affected our rest. During our stay we switched to the upper floor which provided more privacy and a wonderful view as a bonus.

The breakfast exceeded our expectations! Two in our group were vegetarian and we had omelets with fresh herbs and baguettes, muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit and pancakes with banana and chocolate syrup. The view was amazing from the restaurant. Staff was super friendly. On the day that we left, we had to leave at 6:15am. A staff member was waiting at the gate with a freshly packed takeaway breakfast, bottled water and a very big smile :-) The rooms were very spacious and clean. We loved the location! We loved that it was not too close to the old town and all the busy. We had plenty of places to eat in walking distance. We explored with the free bikes at the resort and that was awesome to be able to paddle through the rice fields without having to pay for a tour! The swimming pool was clean and we loved swimming there. It's not five star luxury but I don't think anywhere else would have been better value for money or friendlier staff! We would go there again, should we visit Vietnam again. For certain on of the highlights of our trip! The even take care of your laundry.

Nothing to complain about!

This place was perfection! The staff were so kind and helpful, the location in the rice fields was absolutely dreamy, the pool in gorgeous, the rooms were huge and the beds were super comfy. The free laundry service, free bikes and glass water bottles were particularly appreciated

The pillows were too fat and the rooster next door was noisy but they were minor inconveniences in comparison to all the wonderful things about this place
