I can boil water and the bed is comfortable and I can sleep well as the nights are quiet
The staff were very friendly. They helped me out with just about everything. I needed a bus route to get to a train station, a staff member Carol helped me out and was very polite about everything. The area was very quiet and peaceful. Conveniently located and bus routes can take you downtown easily. Very close to hiking trails at the Pacific Spirit Regional Park. I enjoyed my stay here very much.
Standard student accommodation: single rooms that are neat, simple and well presented. Shared toilet/shower block in usual student housing style. Functional. Doors can be noisy at night and walls paper thin, but overall fine.
Lounge tv not working No kettle no extra towels Loved being close to wreck beach
I set my expectations realistically, considering this is a University Dormitory. The staff was lovely and for the price, everything was fine. That being said - there was a terrible odour in the dorms which was like foul body odour.
Very helpful front desk personnel, services delivered as advertised
Had a day to kill between flights, UBC is a great place to walk and coffee. Could do with some gaskets on doors and noise abatement.
This is a convenient place to stay if you are UBC but I stayed at the dorms where the bed size is a twin (though it felt smaller). The bed sooooooo hard and you can feel the springs. I got a stiff shoulder after the first night but unfortunately I had nowhere else to go so I slept there for another 3 nights and I am still in pain. The staff were super nice though. The bathrooms and showers are shared on the floor. No wifi in room unless you pay and it's wired. The doors are pretty loud so you can hear everything from the hallways and people when they come in and out of their rooms.
Better than what you would expect for the price. The rooms are clean and the shared bathrooms were spotless. The beds were very stiff so be prepared if you like a soft bed. The UBC campus is beautiful and relatively easy to get downtown via a number of busses.
I like it as it seems like a student accomodation and its very clean. However there is a lack of social stuff and theres no wifi in my room.
