Tranquil House B&B 10 Berry St

Very quiet and demure 🦦everything is neat and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

As we were a very large group, came for a wedding, we moved/swopped to the other establishment, 119 Berry Street. The young lady at the reception was very kind and went an extra mile for such a large group. We needed extra rooms at short notice, and she got them for us. The place is beautiful, and room 10 setup allowed my daughter to do and complete her assignment comfortably. The bed sheets are crisp and white. The bath towels, however, need replacing. The downside was the water. It takes a long time to get hot water in the shower, wasting a lot of the precious resource in the process. The toilet, however, does not give enough water to flush properly. The bedside tables light bulbs are too bright, more brilliant white than preferred warm white.

During the booking process mention should have been made of the ongoing electricity problems of Queenstown. We would not have booked this venue. We were there for a wedding at 4pm and needed power to prepare for wedding. The receptionist told us that generator only runs from 7pm to 10pm and 6am to 10am. Generator started only at 6.30am as we were leaving thus no morning coffee. A rather poor effort.
