The location was ok. I wasn't aware a breakfast was offered. The bed was acceptably comfortable. The television was fairly new and the remote worked well. The toilet appeared to be new and very clean. However, when I quietly explained to the office person that I could not stay there after the first night unless they found me an acceptable room, she was understanding and found me a more decent room for the second night.

The first night: The room was stark and bare with a startling bright orange wall, old damaged furniture, cigarette burns in the bedspread, no lamps, just glaringly bright can overhead lights, towels that were barely old thin small rags( the hand towels were dirty), the shower didn't drain well and I couldn't turn it off and had to call the office to have someone turn it off to save their water bill. The toilet paper was so thin one could read through it, and the pillows on the bed were little more than old bags of lumpy balls The shower curtain had mold on the bottom of it. The large family in the next room screamed and cried until midnight and then shouted and argued again at 4:34am. I was able to get only 3 hour's sleep. Second night: much quieter room, normal pillows, nice shower, same terrible lighting, same old towels, same bare walls, no headboard, and little round table with two plastic chairs. The sad thing is that with some paint, soap and water on the smudged walls, and inexpensive pillows, towels, curtains, and a blanket at Target, the rooms could be 100% more comfortable at their price point. Rodeway Inns, I thought, were always modest, but decent motels at reasonable rates. The owner of this Rodeway Inn doesn't seem to care to maintain that reputation.
